MetaTao (located here)is a project to build a collaborative tool for meta-translations. This began when I located several translations of the Tao Te Ching on the web and wanted a way to compare the translations side-by-side. Looking ahead I foresaw wanting to annotate translations and add additional translations for individual chapters. Here are a list of my requirements for future versions:

• ability to add additional translations
• ability to annotate translations (not modify)
• wiki or thread annotations
• dedicated perl search engine for translations
• choice of chapter order (e.g. tao-te vs te-tao)
• separation of tao - te chapters in index
