I mostly love the mac OsxTerminal. There's just one thing that I'm missing, and that's the nexus font. I fell in love with the nexus font on Eterm. It's a sweet and incredibly tiny (5 pixels wide) and yet incredibly readable font.
I've been spending hours and hours looking for a font for OSX that will compare to the nexus, but alas there are none to be found.
Here are some of the links I searched through deeply:
I installed over 50 pixel fonts and I can't say that any of them were satisfying me in the terminal. I tried each of the pixel fonts in the minimum point size required, but even though many of them were very crisp, they were either too tiny to be readable, too large in general, or too wide to fit a reasonably sized 80 character wide terminal. In some the spacing was too far apart even when the spacing slider was turned to minimum. And in some the spacing was very uneven, like maybe it wasn't initially a fixed-width font or something? So I'm temporarily back to running in Eterm.
Update: it's working now... See NexusFont.
I found the smallest pixel font built into OSX. It's Andale Mono Size 9. I can fit a gkrellm window, a terminal window, and an emacs session side by side. If I could find a better font for Emacs, maybe I could use the sweet monaco font in the terminal...
