A non-interactive software package for producing plots, charts, and graphics from data. good for automated or just-in-time graph generation, handles date and time data nicely, and has basic statistical capabilities. It allows significant user control over colors, styles, options and details.
Clickmaps (clickable image maps) allow browser users to click on a region in a PNG, JPEG, GIF, or SVG graphic, which acts as a hyperlink to a new web page. Mouseover labels (also refered to as "tooltips" or "pop-up text bubbles") allow browser users to move the mouse over a data point or region (without clicking) of a PNG, JPEG, GIF, or SVG graphic, and see a text bubble giving additional information (a powerful annotation technique).
Ploticus allows you to do these types of things in bar graphs, scatterplots, pie graphs, annotations, any arbitrary rectangular region, or the plotting area as a grid or in its entirety. source
